Firearm Training & Gun Safety
We simply pass good knowledge from instructor to student with the purpose of making the student a more effective shooter; and thus, a better human being in general.
We teach beginners to advanced shooters:
Basic Firearm Safety
This is a classroom based, basic course offered to help you become more comfortable with your firearm in a safe setting.
Concealed Carry Training
This course covers the Utah State mandated material required for you to obrtain a Utah concealed firearms permit. Included in the course fees are fingerprint cards, a passport photo, a photocopy of your driver license, and a free one hour range pass to the shooting range.
Family Classes
Rowdy’s has developed this course with the safety of children in mind. Bring the family in for a frank and informative discussion about firearms, their use, and how to stay safe.
Criminal Psychology
This course was designed to teach the student about criminal behavior, the victim selection process and what real situational awareness is.
Handgun Defensive Fundamentals
This is a 2-day (16 hour), live-fire class designed to teach students the foundational skills for operating a pistol safely and efficiently.
Handgun Fundamentals
The course will introduce students to firearm safety, marksmanship fundamentals, stoppage clearance procedures, and proficient gun-handling techniques.
Handgun One-on-One
This is a 5-day (40 hour) live-fire class designed to teach students the critical skills needed to safely, effectively and efficiently operate a pistol in a defensive situation. Day one will begin in the classroom. After that, it’s all range time!
Hunter Safety
In-Person Field Day for the Online Hunter Ed courses are typically held on Saturday morning. The required skill stations and testing will be completed during the field day. The online hunter education course must be completed prior to attending the field day.
First Aid
This is a 2-hour course covering: Tourniquets – different types and how to apply them. Stop the Bleed – direct pressure, dressings, tourniquets. And, how to set up a first aid kit – what to have and where to put it.
Our instructors’ resumes are on file in the Admin office, if resumes are your kind of thing. Rest assured, our instructors have very tall stacks of very official certificates and hundreds – or thousands – of hours of training that qualifies them to teach. Most importantly, they’re great instructors – not just great shooters. (There’s a difference, believe us…) Our instructors come from all backgrounds: civilian, military, and law enforcement. All of them here for a single purpose: to make our students more effective shooters, and thus, better human beings in general.
